L’enregistrement du nouvel album de Tia est terminé. « Pour la première fois, je peux dire que je suis vraiment très heureuse! C’est un album très personnel. J’ai écrit la plupart des chansons et ai beaucoup travaillé sur les textes. J’espère que vous aimerez la musicalité et ce que je raconte! », écrit Tia sur son Facebook. « Je veux remercier Marc Glomeau pour son aide précieuse, sa patience et sa collaboration! Voici une photo avec le super musicien sénégalais Ibou Sow, un invité du nouvel album. » 

Dernier jour au studio. « Je viens d’enregistrer une des plus belles chansons de mon nouvel album, écrite par… un de mes chanteurs-compositeurs favoris! Et je l’ai jouée sur une guitare qui m’a été donnée par un autre de mes artistes préférés », dit Tia.

« Hehe, surprise! », ajoute-t-elle, annonçant plus d’informations bientôt sur sa page Facebook.

Last day at the recording studio. « I just recorded one of the most beautiful songs of my new album, written by… one of my favorite singer/songwriter! Played on a guitar given by one of my favorite artists too! » says Tia.

« Hehe, surprise! », she adds, announcing more information soon on her Facebook page.

Music without borders! Hypnotic Wheels, with Tia on vocals and guitar, Marc Glomeau on percussions and Gilles Chabenat on the electroacoustic hurdy-gurdy are on a residence at the Baie des Singes, in Cournon-d’Auvergne, Central France, before their departure for a « super mega project in Mississippi. »

Back to the studio. Finishing sraight, this week, for Tia’s new album.

Retour au studio. Dernière ligne droite cette semaine pour le nouvel album de Tia.

Son truc à elle, c’est le blues. Ne lui demandez pas pourquoi. C’est comme ça. La musique ne s’explique pas, elle se vit. Tia vient d’ailleurs tout juste de rentrer des Etat-Unis. Un nouveau séjour de deux semaines.

Dans son « Portrait de la semaine », Jean-Paul Boithias revient sur le dernier séjour aux Etats-Unis de Tia, son parcours, et son projet d’album, le troisième, dont la sortie est prévue à l’automne 2017.

Her thins is the blues. Don’t ask her why. That is how it is. You can’t explain music, you can just live it. Tia just came back from the United States, a two-week journey. […] She even discovered a new paradise: the North Mississippi Hill Country. […] With a strange feeling: « It was like being at home. There is something special going on in this area where musicians play a very hypnotic kind of blues. »

In his « Portrait of the Week », Jean-Paul Boithias writes about Tia’s last trip to the United States, her professional path, and the new album she starting working on, her third, which will be released in the fall of 2017.

Tia & The Groove Box will perform at the Arsenik Festival on Thursday March 2nd at 5:30 PM at the Theatre in La Bourboule, in the Puy-de-Dôme area. Tia, on guitar and vocals, will be accompanied by Marc Glomeau at percussions.

At 9 PM, Marc Glomeau will join Mère Grand & The Sound Avengers for a crazy show during which the band revisits TV series songs.

The festival is free.
